About

The Johnny Shoppes Story

For years before The Shoppes at Johnny Appleseed
opened, the owners envisioned ways for a like-minded
community to market their unique
blend of art, function, food and décor.
Finally, in early 2017 they began a journey to take
Johnny Appleseed in a new direction.

Opening in June of 2017 with only four confirmed
vendors, the wheels began to turn.

With this handful of talented artists, in one short year they transformed the space left barren for three years after the
closure of the furniture store– into what is now
The Shoppes at Johnny Appleseed.

The store is now home to over 55 vendors, in one expansive space!

Owners Erica and Patrick Gilmore have also redesigned the kitchen into a quaint and inviting eatery serving lunch and desserts every Saturday and Sunday. In October 2018, The Apple Kitchen received a NYS liquor license and now serves a variety of New York State craft brews and their own signature wine, Orchard Ridge.

This store is wheelchair accessible and open 5 days a week.

Natural Beauty Awaits...

We are a family run business that values the beauty of the outdoors. We are eager to share our open spaces with those
who share our interest. See below for more info on our perimeter walking trail.

trail

The perimeter of our many acres, as seen drawn in red on this aerial view photo, is open and maintained for visitors to explore.
It's a moderate/easy hike on level ground and mowed for ease of motion. The total distance is just under one mile. The trail winds
around our backyard, up a hill to a great view of the neighboring valleys, and down around the store and pond, back to the road.

Currently we let Spruce Valley Stables use it for trail rides and neighbors come to walk their dogs on a leash.
Stop in the store and ask permission, we will gladly give you further details.
